Not a Part
of Vote Bank Who Cares To Listen Them?
Before starting the easy I need to highlight o some
statistical report regarding the child right in India:
i)
According to the report of NFHS-III2005-06every
2nd child in India malnourished
ii)
National dropout rate in elementary level is
over 40%(DISE 2011-12)
iii)
Nearly 45% girls get married before they age of
18 years
iv)
Only 54% children receive full immunization
v)
India has Highest child labour population
Okay, do I need to describe we are going through what kind
of dismal situation? Actually Ida Indian Government is driven by so powerful
politician and they do the politics of vote-banking. Children are not a part of
vote-bank, so thinking about them never
electoral outcome. They treat children as the next generation of
economically contributing adults. And irony is when the children grow up they
vote these leaders.
But we can’t blame Indian constitution there are articles on
child right:
i)
Right to free and compulsory education for all
children in 6-11 years age group(article21A)
ii)
Right to protected from any hazardous employment
till the age of 14 years
iii)
Right to protected from being abused and forced
by economic necessities to enter occupation unsuited to their age of strength
(article 39€)
iv)
Right to equal opportunities and facility to
develop in a healthy manner and condition in freedom dignity and guaranteed
protection of childhood and youth exploitation and against moral and ageist
moral and martial abdomen(39(e))
There are constitutional guarantees of opportunity and civil
rights, instead of that, millions of children face wide spread deprivation and discrimination.
How mean discrimination society does implies in the tag illegitimate child. A
child born out of wedlock or of a void or illegal marriage are illegitimate
child.
Children pay for the decision taken by the parent and are
denied of inheritance, rights. Even worst a child born of rape is stigmatised and
treated we ill time both by society ad law. And how the rights (mentioned in
constitution) are enforced if we start to analyse step by step we will get the
real scenario. Access to health?? Ridiculous question. The health of our
children continuous to be a matter of grave concern especially in the era of
growing privatisation of health services and the increasing inaccessibility to
poor. Plus environ mental pollution degradation lead to a further detoriation
of street children health. Suffering from malnutrition and dying of starvation
most common news we get in newspapers. In case of education we have already
mention the statistics. Precise that most children in India who do get a chance
to go to school they usually go to government schools. Most of the Government
school are often dirty teacher don’t come on regular basis and if they come
they don’t teach well. Pupils don have books or toys of learning age. Common
children don’t get excess to few good highly costly privet school. So the
picture of education system is equally poor. But there are some
non-governmental organisations instead of government who are really doing good
and most famous them are smile foundation, plan India children, save the
children India, child right India foundation CRY India
But how much they can do if there is no strong pillar of
support. Strangely although this is being a major problem few people ache
raising voice against it. Any kind of concern for child never can be found in
voting agendas from any political party. Other citizens please don’t forget
their future adults. And yes respected politicians, don’t forget if they get
aware about their fact you are causing many reasons for their spoiled futures,
they may forgive you ever. And yeah there going to be a part of vote bank after
some years, keep in mind.
